Kidney cancer is mostly seen between the ages of 60 and 70 and is two times more in men than women. However, it is known that it occurs three times more often in the patients with high blood pressure and two times more in those who use tobacco products. As are in many other types of cancer, exact cause of kidney cancer is unknown. Kidney cysts and kidney cancers are more commonly seen in the patients who take regular dialysis due to renal failure. The risk of development of kidney cancer is high in the patient who had previously undergone radiation therapy for the purpose of treatment or had been exposed to radiation for another reason. In addition, the risk of kidney cancer increases in steel industry, petroleum, cadmium, lead industry employees and those exposed to asbestos.
Be careful if there is bleeding in the urine!
Usually, its symptoms are pain in kidney area, bleeding in the urine, or palpable swelling. Small-sized tumors in early stages can usually be detected by chance especially on abdominal ultrasonography or tomography that is performed due to another disease. Especially not very severe pains in lumbar region, bleeding in the urine and swelling in the kidney area are the most common symptoms. If the tumor has spread to organs such as bones, lungs, and brain, due to this spreading, diseases related to cough, bloody sputum, bone pain, and brain involvement may occur. In addition, symptoms such as weakness, loss of appetite, weight loss that occur in all cancers can also emerge in kidney cancer.

- Patients with high blood pressure
